Split System Air Conditioner Installation
Most homes have one room that never cools down, usually the west facing bedroom or the one at the end of the hall the ducted system never reaches. A split system solves it for that room without touching the rest of the house.
The part that catches people out is the switchboard. Air conditioning needs a dedicated circuit, and plenty of older boards through Knox and the Yarra Ranges have no spare ways left. We check that before you order the unit, not on installation day.

A ceiling fan makes a warm bedroom sleepable for a few cents a night, which is a much cheaper answer than running air conditioning until morning. Most fans also reverse in winter to push warm air back down off the ceiling.
The work involved depends on what's up there now. A straight replacement is quick. Adding a fan where there's only a light point means new wiring, speed control and fixing to structure rather than plasterboard.
